Heartland Venture Network is taking shape around a simple belief: the founders building from the middle of the country deserve strong relationships, thoughtful coverage, and more rooms where opportunity happens.

We’re starting in Ohio. Our focus is the work behind the announcement: the first customer, the hard pivot, the new product, and the founder deciding what comes next. Heartland Venture News will be the editorial home for those stories.

The network also grows in person. Heartland Venture Summit brought people together during NY Tech Week in June 2026. We’re building from that gathering toward a community that stays connected throughout the year.

Founders can send us a story. Organizations can propose a collaboration. People who want to contribute can apply to the community. This is the beginning, and there is room to help shape it.

We want to strengthen the ecosystem alongside the people already covering and supporting it. We’ll link to their work, pursue collaborations, and publish original reporting that earns its place.
